Anonymous asked: I've never labeled myself but I guess I would consider myself pansexual. The problem is, is that everyone around me assumes I'm straight & the people I'm closest to, don't believe that bisexuality or pansexuality exist. That people who are attracted to two or more genders & sexualities are either doing it for the attention or are in denial. I don't feel like I could ever come out. I feel like no matter who I eventually marry, I'll be considered straight or a lesbian. It's frustrating and lonely.

In my experience, as I’ve grown older, I’ve realized that the world can be a pretty negative place. It certainly does seem that regardless of what you say, people will assume, judge, and label you as they please. So my response to this is to simply move past that. I’ve noticed that the people who truly believe and love in themselves are the people that I want to be around and admire. People with confidence in who they are, those are the people we listen to.

So believe in who you are, and trust yourself. It doesn’t matter what other people may say or do, because as long as you are by your side and love yourself, then things will turn out ok.

Remember, you don’t have to tell anyone about your sexuality if you don’t want to. And if you do, that’s fine too. Just be sure you are ready to tell.

I hope this helps.
