Anonymous asked: i've known that i'm bisexual since i was a little girl, but i lately can't shake this feeling that i'm a phony. i know i'm attracted to girls - i know it - but i guess.. when i'm around some new lesbian friends i've met, they assume i'm a lesbian too, and i don't know how to "correct" them. i'm worried what they might think of me if i say i am
Well as cheesy as this is, “Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.” (Dr. Seuss)
I know it can be quite intimidating when you aren’t sure what others might think, but try to move past that. Just be who you are and love yourself for it. The people who matter will only appreciate you more for it. And you know, you don’t have to tell them that you are bi….if you don’t mind, let them assume. You can correct them if they directly address your sexuality, but you don’t owe it to anyone to let them know about your sexuality. That’s an entirely personal choice that you have to make on your own. If you want to tell them, then tell them, but you don’t have to.
I hope this helps ease your mind a little. :)
