Admitting that she’s queer doesn’t make her any less transphobic or any less of the person who’s made the mistakes she has. I know tons of queer people who say ridiculously offensive things about other queer people, but that doesn’t make them any less queer.

And by not allowing them to keep their queer identity, as if there’s some test they need to pass, is ridiculous to me. You don’t have to respect the things Gaga has done, or has said, but please respect her identity just like you would respect mine. Everybody deserves at least that much.
