inquire-within asked: For a contest for Seventeen magazine, I wrote a story about a girl who's just found out about the FTM transition of her former girlfriend and first love, and is trying to figure out what that means for her. It addresses LGBT issues, which aren’t often dealt with in magazines for teenage girls, or any other media for that age group. FuckYeahBisexuals (AKA FYBis) was started by an individual who wanted to emphasize the importance of accepting everybody how they are and fighting against stereotypes and comments that hurt not only the bisexual community, but the queer community as a whole.
